Kayak Trip #8 Shadow Lake to Crystal River to Churchill Street Dam – 5-10-12

After a long and emotionally draining week, it was time for some adventure. We put in at Shadow Lake, paddled down the stream to the Crystal River, and headed downstream to the pond by Churchill Street, then back upstream to the lake. I was amazed to see so much wildlife right in the middle of town! We went past the hospital and noted that it was nice to see it from this view. I had spent a day there last year looking OUT the window at the river after some surgery, and decided that I would much rather be looking IN from the river.
